Really? Just One Minute?

I know what you’re thinking, “Workout for only one minute? I’m not buying it.” I hear you, but stick with me. This strategy works.

We are all busy and exercising for even 30 minutes-a-day can be tough.

Fortunately, this quick strategy could make working out much more tolerable, effective, AND sustainable for the long-term.

We All Do This

Imagine this scenario: you just created a new exercise routine that will have you waking up early to run 2-3 miles before work a couple of times each week.

You also threw in a longer workout on Saturday because you “have the time.”

Now, fast forward two weeks in the future. How many times have you actually worked out? Not enough, right?

How was your energy at work? Not as good as you wanted, right?

Ok. Try this instead.

The One-Minute Power Hour

I have used this strategy for a few years and it works every time.

Instead of scheduling 30-45 minute workouts multiple times each week during the stressful morning hours before work or in the exhausted time after week, just schedule one-minute.

That’s right. Schedule a one-minute workout.

The trick is that you are going to schedule a one-minute workout every hour of your work day.

Take a look at this chart as an example of what this could look like for you.

Keep in mind that each activity only lasts 60 seconds and I have linked each activity with a resource that explains how to do it.

Don’t forget you can substitute any of these activities and mix & match the order to suit your needs. Feel free to adjust it to your liking.

You Can Do This Anywhere!

You might think this list sounds too easy, or maybe insanely too hard.

You may be saying to yourself, “But Jeff I can’t do this at my desk! What about my co-workers? Or my boss?!

You may have to get creative about the exact location or timing of each of these workouts. But believe me, they are effective.
