1. How and Why We Collect Information
We use personal information for the purposes of:
- presenting our website and its contents to you
- providing you with information
- providing you with offers for products and services
- providing you with information about your subscriptions and products
- carrying out any contract between you and Jeff Sanders Productions, LLC
- administering our business activities
- providing customer service
- making available other items and services to our customers and prospective customers
Affiliate Transactions: We may use the information you provide to us to make you offers to purchase products and services provided by third parties in exchange for a commission to be paid to us by such third parties.
Should you opt to take part in such promotions, the third parties may receive personally identifiable information. In those cases, please refer to the Privacy Policies of those third parties.
GDPR Compliance: Learn more about how jeffsanders.com is protecting your data in accordance with GDPR, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation.
2. User Data and Personally Identifiable Information
Customer Accounts: Our website provides online product access through Teachable, which creates customer accounts for access to paid courses.
Account holders must accept the terms of this Privacy Policy to maintain an active account and receive legally-required notifications, such as login information for product access.
If a customer revoke their consent at any time, their account will be deleted — even if the customer has access to paid products.
Passwords: Customers are solely responsible for creating their own unique and secure passwords after logging into Teachable for the first time. Users can reset their passwords on Teachable, and passwords are never sent via email.
Personally Identifiable Information: No user accounts or personally identifiable information are stored on jeffsanders.com. Customer information that is stored on Teachable’s servers include the customer’s first name, last name, email address, encrypted passwords, and IP address.
Website Comments: We do not allow website comments on jeffsanders.com. All previous comments that may have been left in the past have been permanently deleted from our servers.
We allow website comments on our subdomain, courses.jeffsanders.com, which is hosted by Teachable and provides product access to customers. All comments left there are directly tied to customer accounts and remain on Teachable’s servers as long as the customer retains access to their product.
Email: All email messages sent to jeffsanders.com addresses are stored permanently on Google’s Google Workspace servers for the purposes of customer service and transaction records.
3. Secure Financial Data
Jeff Sanders Productions, LLC uses PayPal and Stripe as financial gateways to process all online transactions. No transactions originate from jeffsanders.com and no financial data is stored on our servers.
We also do NOT have access to sensitive customer financial data (e.g. full 16-digit credit card numbers, CVV codes, etc.), as that data is stored securely on the servers of our third party providers for the sole purpose of completing a transaction.
Other personally identifiable information that users provide during a transaction, including first name, last name, email address, mailing address, and telephone number are securely and permanently stored by Jeff Sanders Productions, LLC as a record of the transaction, for product shipments, and to communicate with the customer regarding the transaction when alternative methods are not available.
4. Embedded Content From Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
5. How Long We Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
6. Right to Access, Correct, or Delete Your Data
In accordance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), all individuals within the European Union have the right to request to view, correct, and/or delete their personal data from my website.
Most personally identifiable information stored on jeffsanders.com may be deleted, excluding transaction records for tax purposes, and all email messages that have been sent via email.
Even if you do not reside in the EU, you can request to view, correct, and/or delete your information stored on jeffsanders.com.
User accounts are stored permanently on our servers. You can request to view, correct, or delete this data here.
7. Right to Unsubscribe From Emails
You have the right to unsubscribe from all email messages from Jeff Sanders Productions, LLC, including newsletters, promotions, announcements, and other updates.
You can easily unsubscribe from these emails by clicking the relevant link at the bottom of the email message. You can also contact us to make this request.
The right to unsubscribe does not pertain to transactional emails, such as receipts, transaction records, login information sent when signing up for a new service, or other legally required messages.
We periodically delete email addresses from Kit, our Email Service Provider, when users are no longer subscribed to any newsletters, have not opened an email in more than 90 days, or have an email address that is undeliverable.
8. Additional Rights
In accordance with GDPR, members of the European Union have the following rights:
- The right to be informed about what we are doing with your data through privacy notices (which is what you are reading now)
- The right to access a copy of the data we hold about you
- The right to correct any data that we hold about you
- The right to erasure, meaning the right to request deletion of certain kinds of data we hold about you
- The right to restrict processing, or the right to ask us to stop using your data in certain ways
- The right to data portability, or the right to take the data we hold about you to another service provider (this right will likely not apply to our business as we do not store data typically used for this purpose)
- The right to object to our uses of your data
- The right to file a complaint with a local Supervisory Authority such as the EDPS
Additionally, we extend these rights to all website visitors and customers outside of the European Union.
If you have any questions about these rights, or you would like to file a request, please contact us.
9. Cookies!
When you use Jeff Sanders.com, we or our authorized technology services providers, may also collect certain technical and routing information from you to facilitate your use of the site and its services.
We use this information to administer jeffsanders.com and to understand and measure traffic patterns on the site. This helps us know which areas of the site are the favorites of our users, which areas need improvement, and what technologies are being used so that we may continually improve the site.

This data is often tracked by us or our technology services providers by using “cookies” during your visit. A cookie is a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a server and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. It functions as your identification card and enables us to record your passwords, purchases, and preferences. It cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses.
Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it. (For some pages that require an authorization, cookies are not optional. Users choosing not to accept cookies will probably not be able to access those pages.)
10. Outside Sites
Privacy Policies from outside sites may be different from this one. Our website contains links to other websites that may offer products or services that you might find useful and these sites may request information from you.
In such instances, the collection and use of your personal information will be governed by the Privacy Policy applicable to that site. We do not control the Privacy Policies, contents, or links that appear on those sites, and we encourage you to review the Privacy Policies of any third party sites or services before providing any of them with your personally identifiable information.
11. International Transfer
Your information, including Personally Identifiable Information, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the information, including Personally Identifiable Information, to the United States and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy, followed by your submission of such information, represents your agreement to that transfer.
12. We Do Not Share Your Data Without Your Permission
Users stored data, including personally identifiable information, is never sold or shared to third parties for any reason other than securely completing a transaction or storing necessary data for product or service delivery.
Jeff Sanders Productions, LLC works with partners and service providers who protect user data and comply with GDPR, including Teachable (paid user accounts), ThriveCart (online transactions), PayPal and Stripe (financial gateways), our hosting service (website access), and Google Drive (online files and data storage).
We only collect the minimum user data needed to process a transaction. The information you voluntarily enter when making a purchase will be shared with necessary third parties (payment processors, financial gateways, and your credit card company to authorize credit card payments) solely for the purpose or carrying out the transaction.
13. Website Security
Our website, jeffsanders.com, implements many modern security measures to ensure your data travels safely from one location to another. You can learn more about the exact protocols currently in place on our Website Security page.
